LO4, S Galveston Bay
Galveston Bay LO4, S November 6, 2021 As a school we were able to volunteer at the Galveston Bay Foundation. This volunteering allowed me to see the importance of caring about the environment/community. I was not looking forward to planting water plants. This is because I knew that it was going to be hot, sunny, and humid. While the weather did not change, I decided to try by best to do the planting. When I first stepped into the water I felt the muddy soil going through my water shoes and I was really tempted to stop. Them moment in which my group planted the first water plant all I wanted to do was plant as many as I could. Planting was a little difficult since we could not see where the hole was and it was crucial that we did no more the shovel before. If we moved the shove we would have to find where the hole was with our arm in the water. Another struggle was knowing how big the hole needed to be.
